How do I know if the doctor is an expert in his or her field?

All of the physicians who are part of TeleMD Specialists are selected carefully to be among the best in their field after extensive review of the physician's medical training, clinical experience and contribution to their specialty field
All of our physicians:

- Completed 4 years of medical school at an AAMC-accredited U.S. medical school

- Completed residency program and/or fellowship in their area of specialty

- Are board-certified in their specialty

- Have authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and books

- Are proven thought leaders in their field

What is the cost?

- One price for the initial consultation - $225 ($50 + Medicare rate for qualified Medicare beneficiaries)

- One price for follow-up visit - $175 (Medicare rate for qualified Medicare beneficiaries)

- Payment is made at time of booking appointment

- The full amount will be refunded for cancellation if we are notified at least 24 hours before appointment time

- Any recommended lab tests or procedures are not included in the above fee

Can I use my insurance?

TeleMD Specialists does not accept insurance
Instead, we offer an appointment with a board-certified specialist on your time with transparent pricing
Payment can be with your health savings account (HSA or FSA card) or with any major credit card
Payments can not go toward your deductible as TeleMD Specialists works outside of your health insurance

Do you accept Medicare?

Yes, we do accept Medicare. There is a $50 fee that you will be responsible for in addition to any copay/deductible not covered by Medicare or your secondary insurance

What if I don't have insurance?

TeleMD Specialists does not accept insurance and the consultation fees are fixed and transparent

Is the consultation with audio alone or audio/video?

Yes! We understand how busy life can be and so our physicians are available for weekend and evening appointments

Can I be seen from anywhere in the country?

Currently this service is available to Florida residents only

What if further testing is required?

If deemed necessary, further testing may be through your insurance depending on your coverage benefits or out of pocket if you do not have insurance

What if I need to cancel my appointment? Do I get a refund?

The full amount will be refunded for cancellation if we are notified at least 24 hours before appointment time

Do you see kids?

Yes we can see children for any skin-related concerns
We are not currently scheduling pediatric patients for any heart-related concerns

Is this a good option if I want a second opinion?

Yes, absolutely! TeleMD Specialists is perfect for second opinions
We have an option for uploading relevant medical records in a confidential and secure manner
